    A proverb is a simple, but insightful, and trustworthy, divinely inspired saying meant to train us in moral skilfulness with the aim of being conformed to the likeness of Jesus.

    Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. (Proverbs 10:17, ESV)
