“A proverb is a simple, but insightful, and trustworthy, divinely inspired saying meant to train us in moral skilfulness with the aim of being conformed to the likeness of Jesus.”

A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24, ESV)
