Bible Reading: Proverbs 4:18-27
A proverb is a simple, but insightful, and trustworthy, divinely inspired saying meant to train us in moral skilfulness with the aim of being conformed to the likeness of Jesus.
1. Should We Listen to Our Hearts?
The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)
2. The Role of the Heart
Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
3. The Responses of the Heart
4. The Ruin of the Heart
5. The Rescue of the Heart
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26)
